The wet season is the warmer one, between May-October, when the rainfall are significantly increasing
During the summer, between July-September, there could be monsoons in the Caribbean side, so pay attention to the forecast

How do we get there
There is a ferry from Cancun, you should buy the back and forth ticket because there is no expiring date
Attractions
There is absolutely no need to rent the golf car on the island, don`t listen to anyone there
The main beach is called Playa Norte, a Caribbean landscape and young atmosphere
On the beach there are a few wood cabins which offer you massages, but make sure to bargain the prices a little bit
Along the 5th avenue there are a lot of restaurants and souvenirs shops
I highly recommend you to have dinner at the Chinese restaurant called SATAY, great food and excellent service
