Bocas del Toro

Bocas del Toro are an archipelago, the most touristic one is Isla Colon
I must say I didn`t really like the atmosphere on the island, BUT there is a beautiful starfish beach you should definitely check out

Recommended season
The dry season between December-April has a nice weather, ideal for travelers
There could still be a few showers but nothing major
This is the more touristic season, and therefor the prices are rising
The wet season, between May-November, is unexpected
You could enjoy a few sunny days and then out of nowhere where would be unstopped rainfalls
It`s hard to plan a trip that way, you should pay attention to the forecast all the time

Recommended time
I think 2-3 nights will be enough on this island

How do we get there
If you`re coming from Panama City, you can take an hour flight which costs around 100 dollars
OR a night buss, around 10 hours which costs 26 dollars but get ready for a FREEZING ride
If you`re coming from Costa Rica, you can take a buss of 5.3 hours from San Jose which costs 10 dollars
ANYWAY from the bus station you have to take a taxi to the ferry which will get you to the island

Where should we stay
I recommend you to book your stay at Selina Hostel, good spot right next to the city center and young atmosphere
There is a pizza stand right in front of the hostel with THE BEST pizza with AVOCADO

Attractions
You can rent a bicycle and ride all over the island

To the starfish beach you have to take a local buss from the city center, it will drop you at the entrance and you will be able to walk along the beautiful shoreline
