Havana

Recommended season
The dry season, between November-April, is the more touristic one, and therefor the prices are rising
The weather is nice and there are no rainfalls
There could still be some showers but nothing major
The wet season, between May-October, has higher temperatures but the rainfalls are significantly increasing
This is a less recommended season, especially for those who plan to go to the beaches
Between August-October you should go there at all because there is a concern about hurricanes in the area

Recommended time
I believe 2-3 nights will be enough in the city

How do we get there
To Havana there is only the flight option, I personally came from Mexico so I took a flight from Cancun

Important
There is no signal in the whole country and to have WiFi you got to pay per hour for this card that only work in a specific place
I recommend you to just go with it and leave the cellphone for a few days, just make sure to update your family

Cuba has 2 kinds of coins, the one for the local people and the other one (the more expensive) for the tourists
They don`t accept dollars so make sure to change enough money in advanced

The language is a bit of a challenge there because most of the people don`t speak English so,, good luck with that

It`s hard to find a good place to eat, I thought I will experience some local food but all I could find is bad junk food

Where should we stay
It is recommended to spend the nights at a local casa in the city center or next to the old city.. whatever you prefer
* a casa is a room that you rent from a local person in his house

Attractions
There is no need to book the vintage car tour in advanced
believe me, you just have to go to El Capitolio and stand next to one of the many cars around there, after a few seconds the driver will come and give you a bid
You will get an hour tour around the historical places and lets face it, a lot of cool pictures
but no, you can`t drive the car by yourself

In the port area there is the big market where you could buy some souvenirs

For the salsa lovers I recommend to go to Casa de la Musica and experience the real Cuban atmosphere

From Havana you can drive a few hours to Vinales and Trindad, the country sides of Cuba where you can take a horse ride and visit a cigar factory
I personally passed
